I grew up in an old world family. So naturally, as soon as I could reach the counter top I was working away in the kitchen and watching my mother create her special meals from her secret recipes. Before I knew it, I was sneaking peaks at her cookbooks whenever I could, trying to create something yummy and different for dinner to impress my mom. Some times it actually worked! And I would be so proud of myself and the dish I created.
That all happened sometime ago, but that love of creating and baking goodies as a child never left me. I love giving the gift of delicious food and seeing a friends face light up with pure joy. So one day during the holidays, I started to create gourmet caramelized pecan treats and give them to friends and family. Well, before I could say "Caramelization" my homemade pecans were being requested for holidays, birthdays, and all kinds of special occasions, and our little business with a big heart and bigger flavors was born.
